Newton HydroBond 403 GB is a Pre-Applied Waterproofing Membrane and Gas Barrier. A high performance, self-healing membrane with a locking fleece on the inner surface and a hydrophilic polymer coating externally. The membrane is BDA approved, NHBC accepted as Type A waterproofing, and the gas barrier variant provides resistance to radon, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

HydroBond 403 GB provides a complete waterproof envelope to the structure to achieve Type A (barrier) waterproofing suitable for Grades 1, 2 and 3 as defined by BS 8102:2022, are suitable for all below ground and earth-retained structures from domestic basements to the largest civil engineering projects, and can be used as part of the HydroBond® System with HydroBond 108-LM which is sprayed to the exposed walls of the basement after the temporary formwork is removed. Where space is tight, HydroBond 109-LM can be applied by roller or brush or small airless spray machine.

HydroBond 403 GB can be used in conjunction with other Newton products to provide a coordinated and combined approach to the waterproofing of the whole structure that includes protection against water ingress to the deck, through construction joints, through and around service entries and to movement joints.

Correctly protected, the Newton HydroBond System will provide, under normal service conditions, a durable waterproof barrier for the life of the building to which it is installed; the expected lifetime of the building itself should be at least 60 years. The Newton HydroBond System is supported by BDA Agrément Certificate BAB 16-031/03/A and is accepted by the NHBC as a suitable waterproofing system for Type A Waterproofing to Grades 1, 2 & 3 – BS 8102:2022

Typical Applications:

  • As a continuous membrane to permanent raft and wall formwork such as the raft blinding and piled walls of reinforced concrete and earth-retained structures.

1. Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details)

2. Delivery Fee Structure:

All orders, excluding those containing products covered in section 3 below, will be subject to the below delivery fee structure:

  1. Total order weight is between 0kg and 10kg = £7.99 standard delivery fee
  2. Total order weight is between 10kg and 20kg = £12.99 standard delivery fee
  3. Total order weight is between 20kg and 75kg = £20 standard delivery fee
  4. Total order weight is 75kg and above = £60 large order delivery fee
  5. Total order value exceeds £500 (regardless of weight) = Free delivery

3. Exclusions

The delivery fees detailed above apply to all orders, excluding:

  1. Orders containing insulation will be charged at £65 per pallet (10 units per pallet). Please get in touch with us directly for pricing and ordering.
  2. Orders containing protection boards: A large order delivery fee of £60 will be applied.
  3. Orders containing membranes of two metres wide and above: The delivery fee will be calculated as a price per unit*.

4. Geographical Areas

The above delivery fees apply to all postcodes in mainland England, Wales and Scotland.

For deliveries to Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Scottish Isles, and any international orders please get in touch with the BaseTec team directly by email or phone for a custom delivery price. Standard delivery timescales do not apply to these areas and will be advised on request.
