ARDEX K 71 is a cement-based compound for resurfacing concrete floors to create a hard, smooth, flat wearing surface or base for coatings.
It incorporates the unique ARDEX ‘Rapidry Formula’ which chemically binds the mixing water, allowing it to dry rapidly while developing high strength.
Mixed with water, ARDEX K 71 is a fluid self-leveling mortar which can be applied by pump or hand trowel at an application thickness from 3-30mm neat, or up to 50mm incorporating aggregate.
Features:
- For application depths between 3-30mm neat
- 10-30mm with ARDEX Coarse Aggregate
- 30-50mm with pea shingle
- Pump or hand applied
- Rapid drying
- Foot traffic after 2-3 hours
- Final floor covering installed after 1-7 days in normal conditions
- Ideal for correcting highly irregular substrates
- Low alkalinity
- Casein-free
- Low emissions
Uses:
For levelling bonded, unbonded and floating substrates:
- Concrete
- Sand/cement screeds
- Anhydrite screeds
- Wooden boards
- Under-floor heating/warming
- Insulation boards
- Existing tiles
- Bitumen
Coverage:
A 25kg bag using 4.75 litres of clean water will yield approximately 4.7m² at 3mm thickness.
For aggregated mixes, a 25kg bag mixed with equal volume of ARDEX Coarse Aggregate covers approximately 2.39m² at 10mm or 0.95m² at 25mm thickness. With pea shingle, it covers approximately 0.75m² at 30mm or 0.45m² at 50mm.
Allow for extra material on rough or uneven surfaces.
