Delivery

BaseTec Delivery Policy:

Thank you for choosing BaseTec for your construction materials. We are committed to making your order delivery promptly and efficiently. In case of any issues or queries regarding delivery, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer support team.

The below policies are applicable to all orders unless otherwise specified. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms outlined in our delivery and returns policies.

1. Delivery Timescales

We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions – see below). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will endeavour to keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.

Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.

Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see section 8).

2. Delivery Fee Structure:

All orders, excluding those containing products covered in section 3 below, will be subject to the below delivery fee structure:

  • Total order weight is between 0kg and 10kg = £7.99 standard delivery fee
  • Total order weight is between 10kg and 20kg = £12.99 standard delivery fee
  • Total order weight is between 20kg and 75kg = £20 standard delivery fee
  • Total order weight is 75kg and above = £60 large order delivery fee
  • Total order value exceeds £500 (regardless of weight) = Free delivery

3. Exclusions

The delivery fees detailed above apply to all orders, excluding:

  • Orders containing insulation will be charged at £65 per pallet (10 units per pallet). Please get in touch with us directly for pricing and ordering.
  • Orders containing protection boards: A large order delivery fee of £60 will be applied.

Orders containing membranes of two metres wide and above: The delivery fee will be calculated as a price per unit*.

*Please note that, for orders containing membranes of two metres wide and above:

  1. Once the total order weight exceeds 75kg then the £60 large order fee will automatically be applied
  2. Once the total order value exceeds £500 then the free delivery policy will automatically be applied

4. Geographical Areas

The above delivery fees apply to all postcodes in mainland England, Wales and Scotland.

For deliveries to Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Scottish Isles, and any international orders please get in touch with the BaseTec team directly by email or phone for a custom delivery price. Standard delivery timescales do not apply to these areas and will be advised on request.

Additional charges, including customs fees, duties, or taxes may apply for international orders.

5. Delivery Communications

We aim to dispatch and deliver all our products within their specified time frames. You will get notified by Basetec via email when your products have been dispatched. This will include details of your order and the expected delivery time. Basetec will contact you via email or phone if there are any delays in picking your order or after dispatch.

If any products are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering, the BaseTec team will contact you by phone or email to discuss your options.

6. Order Receipt

On receipt of your order, it is your responsibility to check that you have received all goods on the delivery note, and that they are not damaged before signing for them. You must notify BaseTec within 24 hours to report missing goods, otherwise you will be liable for the full cost.

7. Third Parties

BaseTec cannot accept liability or responsibility for damage, loss or delays caused by third-party delivery companies. However, BaseTec will attempt to resolve any issues caused by third party delivery companies on behalf of the customer. If a delivery by a third party has failed due to any points outlined in Section 8, then a failed delivery charge will be applied.

8. Failed Deliveries

In cases where there is a failed delivery, a failed delivery charge equivalent to the original delivery fee will be applied. In cases where the order qualified for free delivery due to the value being over £500, a failed delivery charge of £60 will be applied.

Failed delivery charges will be applied in all instances where:

  1. Delivery is rejected at the correct delivery address.
  2. There is no-one present at the delivery address to accept delivery.
  3. The order is cancelled after the delivery has already been dispatched.
  4. An incorrect delivery address is provided, and delivery is attempted.
