The Helifix DryFix Power Driver Extension is a nozzle extension for use with the Helifix Dryfix Power Driver Attachment (PDA). The extension nozzle is only required in instances where long DryFix ties are being installed.
The DryFix Power Driver Attachment (PDA), fitted to an SDS hammer drill, ensures the quick, easy, and non-disruptive installation of DryFix ties and fixings.
DryFix can be installed through the brick or the mortar. If the mortar is of good enough quality, this will avoid any damage to the brick, but it must be tested at various locations as mortar strength can vary throughout a structure. If unsure of the mortar quality then install DryFix through the brick as it leaves only a small entry hole, which can be concealed with drilled-out brick dust. By installing through the brick a reliable connection can be guaranteed. Ties should be installed about 3cm from the end of the brick to avoid the frog.
Drilling Notes:
Correct drilling techniques are essential to ensure efficacy of remedial wall ties, and to minimise aesthetic and structural damage to the property under repair. Helifix requires the use of Rotary Percussion drill bits for drilling pilot / clearance holes wherever possible. This keeps spalling of the rear side of the outer leaf masonry, in cavity situations, to a minimum. Any spalling of the brick / block rear will reduce the effectiveness of the wall ties installed.
Rotary hammer drills, SDS type, are always used to drive the Helifix tie into position with the DryFix Power Driver Attachment for masonry stabilisation.

1. Delivery Timescales
We will endeavour to deliver all orders within 1-3 working days (subject to geographical restrictions). Please note, where delivery lead-times for individual orders may be subject to change, we will keep you informed directly by phone or email within 24 hours of your order being placed.
Deliveries will not be made on UK bank holidays, and in such cases will fall on the next working day.
Standard delivery hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are not available to accept the delivery when it is attempted, then a failed delivery charge will be applied (see the Delivery page for full details)
2. Delivery Fee Structure:
All orders, excluding those containing products covered in section 3 below, will be subject to the below delivery fee structure:
- Total order weight is between 0kg and 10kg = £7.99 standard delivery fee
- Total order weight is between 10kg and 20kg = £12.99 standard delivery fee
- Total order weight is between 20kg and 75kg = £20 standard delivery fee
- Total order weight is 75kg and above = £60 large order delivery fee
- Total order value exceeds £500 (regardless of weight) = Free delivery
3. Exclusions
The delivery fees detailed above apply to all orders, excluding:
- Orders containing insulation will be charged at £60 per pallet (10 units per pallet). Please get in touch with us directly for pricing and ordering.
- Orders containing protection boards: A large order delivery fee of £60 will be applied.
- Orders containing membranes of two metres wide and above: The delivery fee will be calculated as a price per unit*.

4. Geographical Areas
The above delivery fees apply to all postcodes in mainland England, Wales and Scotland.
For deliveries to Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Scottish Isles, and any international orders please get in touch with the BaseTec team directly by email or phone for a custom delivery price. Standard delivery timescales do not apply to these areas and will be advised on request.
Additional charges, including customs fees, duties, or taxes may apply for international orders.
